Hello Clearwater!
I am the founder of Local Fish Store. I have been a hobbyist all my life. After keeping aquariums most of my life — fresh, salt, planted, reef — the aquarium hobby is both a passion and escape. Recently, I lost my position in software sales to the wave of AI reshaping that industry, and rather than looking for the next tech role, I made a decision that felt both terrifying and completely right: turn the thing I love most into a living.
The vision for the Local Fish Store of Tampa Bay isn't just to be another shop that sells tanks and fish. My goal is to sell the hobby to my community — to be the kind of store where beginners feel welcome, experienced hobbyists come for conversation and quality livestock, and everyone leaves knowing more than when they walked in. Tampa Bay deserves that kind of local resource, and I intend to be it.
